Beagle Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

If you are interested in meeting Nova, please complete a required application on our website as the first step of the adoption process. www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. In order for us to process questions and applications more timely, include any questions directly on the application. Nova's adoption fee is $175. Meet Nova. This super duper cutie pie is a 5-month-old beagle/dachshund mix who is such a silly, playful, happy, hilarious puppy. Nova is a pretty high energy little girl who is also pretty comical to watch play alone or with others. The slightest thing entertains her, especially the falling leaves, but then...SQUIRREL. ... (Read More)And she has moved on to something else. Thankfully Nova's foster mom has been working on several commands; Nova has proven to be a speedy learner. Nova is doing great with dogs her size or bigger. She currently weighs about 25 pounds and doesn't seem to care for things that don't quite measure up. We do not this she will get much bigger than she currently is. Nova is also a little too interested in her foster mom's cat. Although nothing specific has happened, we would feel most comfortable placing her in a cat-free home. People of all ages, shapes and sizes are fine for Nova as long as they can handle her energy. Nova will need an adopter who will make sure Nova gets plenty of exercise. Another playful dog buddy might be best. Nova does not do well with dogs smaller in size. She will need a fence or daily access to a securely fenced area so that she can safely run off her energy. Just recently Nova has started to enjoy cuddles. She is very affectionate and will likely to get more and more used to watching a little TV in someone's lap. Nova is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is housebroken and well behaved in her crate. She's a pretty quiet little girl although her breeds might make you expect otherwise. (Less)

Besides his obvious good looks, Thumper also has an awesome personality. Thumper is a 1.5-year-old, 60-pound rottie/shepherd mix with probably some other breeds in there too. He is super handsome and his smile melts many hearts. Thumper is looking for a new home because he has decided he does not ... (Read More)want to share his home with children. It has surprised everyone who knows him because he loves humans otherwise. Thumper has been raised around other dogs. He loves a good game of chase and might prefer a sweet dog buddy in his forever home. It's hard to say because he hasn't known it any other way. He has also been raised around cats and does not pay them any attention. Older children who are predictable and gentle will be fine for Thumper. Thumper isn't much into toys but does love to explore outdoors. He would like an active and snuggly companion in his forever home--he's medium energy and not at all obnoxious. Even while taking pictures it was hard for us to get out of the background because he wanted to touch or lean at all times. He is such a sweet guy! Thumper is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm tested. He is also microchipped. Thumper is housebroken and crate trained, but has not been known to be destructive. (Less)

He is a perfect 15 pounds of Velcro pup and will stay right by your side and sometimes underfoot. He ... (Read More)is wherever his people are. Dodge has no enemies. Although he hasn't shared his home with other dogs, he does love their companionship. He currently lives with a cat and secretly loves to play with his buddy. And future kitties in Dodge's life must be canine-friendly. Dodge has also been around visiting children who know how to behave around dogs. Dodge loved them, and they loved him. Dodge does not play with toys but does enjoy walks. He isn't great on leash, but does much better with a harness. He is a super duper travel companion and loves to go for rides. The one thing that Dodge doesn't love is being alone. We are looking for a home for Dodge where is people are home most of the time and where he will have an active life, perhaps with a dog buddy. Dodge is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is solidly housebroken, but does not like to be crated. (Less)

German Shorthaired Pointer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Please read the entire description and submit an application on our website if you are interested in meeting Oskar. This is the first step and required for the adoption process. His adoption fee is $200. www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Meet Oskar. The guy with what appears to be a rubber neck is a 2-year-old German short-haired pointer with a friendly, happy, and very sniffy personality. Oskar was a stray whose owner was found but decided he didn't want Oskar anymore. We are determined to find Oskar a forever home who will appreciate his sweet personality. Oskar is friendly with all humans, big and small. He has quite a bit of ... (Read More)energy and would love to hang with kids old enough to run and play with him. He does love tennis balls, but isn't yet a pro at bringing them back. He knows a couple of commands and loves treat rewards. Oskar has gotten along with the couple of dogs we have introduced him to. Of course we require meet and greets with any other dogs in the home before adoption. We think that Oskar would do best without cats in his home. Although we have never specifically seen him hunt a cat, he is very keen on chasing any other critter that runs. Oskar's home should be active with preference given to a home with a fenced yard or regular access to a fenced yard. He does love to run, but he will not be one that can stay within a perimeter, and no electric fences for him either. Oskar may not be super cuddly, but he does enjoy being with his people when he has exhausted himself from all of the sniffing. Oskar is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is currently in boarding keeping his kennel clean. We suspect that he has lived indoors and is housebroken. If you are interested in Oskar, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. His adoption fee is $200. (Less)

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

If you are interested in meeting Aries, please complete an adoption application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. If the ad is still visible, we are still accepting applications. His adoption fee is $150. Aries is only about 1 year old (yep, and already a dad) and weighs about 45 pounds. He is a squatty little meat brick with a silly, charming personality. He loves all people, unless they are holding a camera. ;) Aries has a decent amount of energy, but knows how to tire himself out. If he is safely contained in a fenced yard, he will run himself silly playing with toys. He loves balls, but isn't always stellar ... (Read More)about returning them for a proper game of fetch. Aries seems to like most or maybe all dogs. He would be fine as an only dog in the home. If he had a buddy, the buddy would probably need to have a similar amount of energy. We do not know how he is with cats. Aries would do fine with kids who are steady on their feet. He can be bouncy at times and little ones might get knocked over. We would love to see Aries in a home with a fence or access to a fenced area so that he can run and be his silly self. He will need work on commands and leash manners, but his people-oriented nature will likely make things fairly easy. We also hope his forever family will love his desire to cuddle and give kisses; he is an expert at this. Aries is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is in boarding and doing well so we can only assume that he would also be housebroken in a home environment.     Please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. This is a required first step if interested in meeting this dog. If the ad is still visible, we are still accepting applications. Groot's adoption fee is $175. Meet Groot. This guy could also be named 'Big Ol' Baby.' Groot is super uniquely handsome, but also a bundle of fun. We have no idea what Groot's breeds are; this is the guy DNA tests were made for. What we do know is that he is about 70 pounds or so and no more than a year old, likey 10 months-ish. He has so many puppy qualities to him. Please take note of his giant paws. If he has to grow ... (Read More)into those things, he might end up even bigger. Groot is everything you can expect of a puppy. He loves the world, and everyone is his friend. He seems very excited to play with other dogs. We have not seen him interact with cats, but since his life Motto is 'be my friend,' we think he will chase and try to make kitties like him even if they want to keep their distance. Groot would be fine with kids who are steady on their feet and not intimidated by large, striped beasts who don't know their own size. Groot will need some work on commands and leash manners. He will not need to be taught how to be cuddly and kissy; he has that mastered. Groot's favorite things are toys treats--he just hasn't learned that he has to actually do something for the treat. Balls are fun, but their true purpose is still a mystery. Groot is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on shots. Although everyone wants to jump to label bully mixed dogs as pits--we were told by the previous owner that she was--Snickers seems to be something else. She is a slender build 40-pound girl with lanky legs. Perhaps she has some boxer in her, but we just don't know. One thing we are certain of, Snickers is a super duper sweetheart! Snickers ... (Read More)seems to love all people. She is silly, playful, and totally cuddly; she is also quite kissable. We will gradually introduce to other dogs and see if we can find a size or gender preference. At this point we think she should be the only pet. Snickers would love a home that will give her plenty of attention. She is a bit of a velcro buddy ad really likes to be with her people. Pit Bull Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Lyla. What a doll this girl is! Lyla is a 2-year-old pittie mix who weighs about 45 pounds. She is a perfect medium size to go with her perfect medium energy. Lyla was surrendered to a local vet office because her family couldn't afford to care for her properly. Thankfully the clinic really had her best interest in mind, brought her up to date on all vetting, and placed her in a loving foster home. Lyla is a super loving, sweet girl who loves to just kind of hang out around her people. She would cuddle in her people's lap all day if time would allow. She does like to run around silly from time to to time, but she also loves to be lazy, ... (Read More)nap, and chew on her bones. Her favorites toys are tennis balls and sticks. ALL sticks. Lyla is very good girl who knows some basic commands and a couple party tricks--one of which is doing a handstand while going potty! Lyla has been around dogs smaller than she is and has done very well. She has never been around dogs her size or larger. She is fostered with cats who don't really care that she exists; the feeling is mutual. As for kids, Lyla is pretty inexperienced from what we can tell. She gets very nervous around kids and doesn't even want to approach. We think adult-sized humans are the best fit for Lyla. Perhaps over time with slow introductions, she could learn to love kiddos too. Lyla is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is solidly housebroken and crate trained too. If you would like to meet Lyla, please complete an application in the link below. Please include any questions you have directly on the application. After we review the applications, we will arrange individual meet and greets. Lyla's adoption fee is $150. www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting.html (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-09-03-00005Toby (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Toby. This stunning guy is a 1-year-old shepherd mix who absolutely loves to be loved. His daily goal is to soak up as much attention as possible. He is looking for a forever home that will love his cuddles and desire to be a lap dog whenever possible. He does weigh about 65 pounds which seems to be a perfect lap dog size. ;) Toby gets along well with other dogs, but doesn't necessarily need a dog buddy in his home. His dog buddy will have to like rough play just like he does. He can be fairly energetic in spells. Once he has had a chance to run around for a couple of minutes, Toby is pretty chill and just looking for a chance for ... (Read More)snuggles or at least a nap near his people. Our vibe is that Toby is at very least a cat chaser; sometimes he looks too intense. We recommend older kids in Toby's forever home because he does jump to greet people. Of course this can (and should) be trained out of him. Since being with us, Toby has learned that toys are great. He loves tennis balls and rope toys. He has also learned the joy of obeying commands because a yummy treat is soon to follow. However, his best reward for following the rules is a hug. Like we said, Toby loves attention. If someone is looking for a super bestest buddy who would love to be an adventure companion, Toby might be the perfect guy. He is a total people pleaser and will learn quickly. Toby is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He seems to be reliably housebroken and crate trained. He can be pretty vocal when first left alone; something to keep in mind for apartment dwellers. If you would like to meet Toby, please complete an application in the link below. Please include any questions you have directly on the application. After we review the applications, we will arrange individual meet and greets. Rescue Me ID: 17-09-02-00386Delores Marie (female)

Chihuahua    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed

Please read full description. If ad is listed we are still accepting applications on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. This is the first step of the adoption process and required. Meet Delores Marie or Lola for short. Lola is an adorable larger-sized chihuahua who is approaching her third birthday. This adorable girl is not the type of dog that can go into any home. Her needs are specific, but we are willing to search high and low to find her what she needs. Lola is a truly wonderful, loyal companion when she chooses you. If she doesn't like you or trust you, you are fighting an uphill battle in changing her mind. ... (Read More)We know that people are going to stop right there and not want to meet her. That's fine; we understand. However, we would appreciate it if you could continue reading and at least share her post--that's the only way we are going to find that special home for her. Lola is very smart and has been trained extensively through clicker training and knows a host of commands and tricks. She responds very well to positive reinforcement as she is very treat and toy motivated. With that being said, she is still a bit of a resource guarder around people not included in her inner circle. Lola, despite having been raised around kids, cannot co-exist in a home with kids. Their unpredictable nature and sudden noises make her very nervous. She is also iffy around other dogs. With slow, methodical introductions Lola has learned to tolerate some other dogs but it isn't always easy to make that happen. Lola does ignore mature cats. She likes kittens too, but she plays too rough with the when she gets too excited. Lola loves to go for car rides and rides well in the car. She is also an expert fetcher. She will fetch tennis balls all day if you let her. When Lola isn't going for walks or playing in the house, she is ready to be the best cuddle buddy she can be. Lola is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is housebroken as long as you are watching her walk to the door--she won't bark to let you know she has to go. She is also crate trained. If you would like to meet Delores Marie, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Her adoption fee is $125. (Less)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered

Please read full description. If interested in meeting Red please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. If the ad is still listed, then we are still accepting applications. Meet Red. Red is a retriever mix guy who is about 4 years old. He has spent the majority of his life in extreme neglect. Before being confiscated he even spent several days without food. Red has been slowly acclimating to his new life, but we know that it's going to take a special foster or adopter to really put him on the right path. Red is a very loving, gentle guy. He is a bit shy at first due to the lack of ... (Read More)socialization for much of his life. Considering what he has been through, he is actually pretty trusting. The quickest way to his heart is with food, of course. Red is learning that food can be a reward for good behavior and he's loving that concept. This poor guy is very underweight and will probably weigh around 65 pounds once he fills out. Red has been in a playgroup with other dogs and is getting along with dogs his size. He does not prefer small dogs or cats. He doesn't play really; he is more into roaming around near the others and waiting for the next treat opportunity. He recently has experienced the joy of squeaky toys and is a big fan. He would probably do well in a home with another sweet, calm, confident dog that can show Red the ropes. He prefers medium sized or larger dogs. He is friendly with children, but would likely benefit from a not-too-busy household. Red is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He does have an ear issue that is on the mend after having had medicine for a couple of weeks. We just have to wait for it to heal. We are finding that Red may be partially deaf due to his ear issue. Red is looking for a patient, loving family who will help him adjust to his new life. The other dogs that were in the same situation as Red have done very well in crates when alone and have had minimal issues housetraining in their homes. They are quick to learn a routine. We have no doubt Red will be the same. If you would like to meet Red please complete an adoption application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. His adoption fee is $150. As long as the ad is available, we are still accepting applications. Meet Stryker. This handsome guy is awesome. He is really a cool guy who is pretty easy to please. A little exercise, something to chew on, and the opportunity to follow you from room to room makes him a happy camper. Stryker is 1.5-year-old mixed breed guy. He weighs bout 60 pounds and might be a boxer/shepherd/who-knows-what mix. The soft brindle coat is gorgeous. Stryker is a very friendly, happy guy who gets ... (Read More)along with everyone. He is currently living with children and does great with them. He also lives with a cat. He would kind of like it if the cat would play, but this feline roommate isn't the least bit interested. Stryker loves to play with other dogs. He could live with another dog or be an only dog who has play date or visits to the dog park. We do think he would enjoying having a buddy around at least part time. If you are looking for a total cuddle buddy, Stryker is not your guy. He loves to be near his people and will follow them everywhere, but he doesn't want to be draped across their laps or snuggled up in in bed. He knows several commands and is treat motivated. He needs more leash practice, although he has gotten much better with a harness. Stryler is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Please read entire description. If you are interested in meeting Stella, please complete an adoption application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. S Stella is currently in boarding and needs a foster or adopter ASAP! Meet Stella. This pretty Pittie is a 1 year-old baby girl who loves playtime and snuggle time equally. She is very friendly and happy once she has warmed up, but initially she can be hesitant around strangers, especially men. After she knows she is safe, she is ready to play with anyone willing to throw a ball or stick. Stella does well with other dogs. She is a wrestle-type player and would do ... (Read More)well with a similar playmate. She was tested with cats and was completely disinterested. The feel from the cats was mutual. We don't know if she would chase a cat that runs or not, but our guess is that she would want to play. Stella would do well with older kids who can handle her jumping with excitement when you first come home and during playtime. Stella would do best in an active home where she can enjoy exercise and snuggle time. She knows how to sit on command, but will need work with other party tricks. Her leash manners are decent especially after the first few minutes of her getting into the groove. Stella is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Karlee. This pretty girl is an 8-year-old husky mix and is absolutely stunning. Karlee is a sweet girl who is looking for a doting, patient family who will love her for exactly who she is. Karlee can be a little anxious at times and paces quite a bit. She is almost always walking around with her tongue hanging way out--we just happened to catch her at the right moment where only part of her tongue can be seen. Although most people associate anxiety with destruction, this is not the case with Karlee. She has been free to roam the unsupervised for many years without issue. Karlee has been raised with another dog and some of her stress ... (Read More)could be associated with the loss of the other pet. However, Karlee doesn't seem to want to be around other animals anymore. She tolerates them fine, but isn't looking to be buddies. She currently lives with a cat, but Karlee stays clear of her whenever possible. Karlee is inexperienced with children. Teenagers who know how to go slow with introductions would be fine. An ideal home for Karlee would give her plenty of exercise. She once had a yard to run around in, but is now confined to a tie out and then comes right back in. Since this change, Karlee has packed on some weight. She is also currently left alone for long periods of time, something she hasn't always had to deal with. All in all, Karlee just wants to be loved and to have special person in her life who will spoil her. Karlee is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

Meet Leo. This affectionate, snuggley boy is a 3-year-old shepherd mix. He probably has a few breeds in his mix, but we just can't tease them all out. His unique look with a somewhat longer body and a naturally stubby tail make him incredibly cute--oh gosh, how could we almost forget to mention those ears! He weighs about 45 pounds and is a perfect medium size. Leo can be a little shy at first, but once he knows he's safe, he is very loving and very much a Velcro dog. Leo has been raised with his own family including his girlfriend (now in a home) and their two pups (both up for adoption.) He craves other dog attention and must be placed ... (Read More)in a home with another friendly dog, preferably one who wouldn't mind his cuddles. If someone were interested in two dogs, Leo and his son Tux do great together. Leo has also been around cats. He doesn't pay much attention to them overall. We think Leo would do fine with gentle children. He has met kids and been fine, but he has never lived with them. Leo is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is also solidly housebroken. Leo has never been crated, but does well being confined to a room of the house. Due to the emergent situation with harsh weather, we put the dogs in boarding to keep them safe and to wait for their family to claim them. It never happened. Rigatoni is about 2 years old and weighs about 75 pounds. He is the epitome of a gentle ... (Read More)giant. Rigatoni really loves attention from his people--he is so sweet, loving, and happy. He also has an independent side where he can entertain himself. He is particularly interested in exploring the great outdoors--he must, however, be safely contained in a fenced yard! Rigatoni gets along with other dogs and wouldn't mind a play buddy as long as they aren't over-the-top hyper. We aren't sure about cats in a home with Rigatoni. He has met some very disinterested cats and seems to ignore them if they ignore him. Rigatoni's finders had children who played with him while he waited to be rescued. He doesn't know much about toys, but he is starting to show interest in tennis balls and sticks. Rigatoni is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. Rat Terrier Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Piper. This adorable girl is an 11-year-old rat terrier/Jack Russell terrier mix. Piper is a sweetheart, but has not done well adjusting to children in the family. For this reason she is looking for a calm retirement home where she can sunbathe in the day and cuddle at night. We understand that there are challenges when looking for adopters for a senior dog, but we are confident that someone will love to have little Piper to hang out with to watch TV or to take on walks. Piper is still a spunky, spry girl who also still loves squeaky toys. She knows a few commands and is very well behaved in the home. When left alone Piper likes to ... (Read More)watch DogTV to pass the time. Adding to Piper's challenges is her desire to be an only pet. She has lived several years with Noella (also up for adoption) but has never really spent much time with other dogs. When she does encounter other dogs she mostly ignores them. She is quite the cat and other small critter chaser, so we think a home without cats would be best. And as we mentioned above, Piper would prefer no small children. She is a little cat-like in terms of being pet. When she wants attention she'll let you know. She does sometimes go to the kids for affection, but she gets annoyed when they pet too long or too hard. Piper is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is also solidly housebroken and does not need to be crated.     Meet Noella. No matter which picture we thought about posting, Noella looks like a medium sized dog. We're not sure what is so deceiving, but this girl is a 6-year-old chihuahua/Jack Russell terrier mix and weighs about 15 pounds. Her mesmerizing blue eye catches your attention, but her personality will steal your heart. This little girl has the lap dog desires of a small dog, but the readiness for exploring outdoors like a big dog. She's the best of both worlds. Noella lived the first part of her life child free and since the addition of two kids, she can get stressed out. She has never bitten, but does sometimes low growl to warn kids ... (Read More)when the petting is too much. On the other hand she does sometimes choose to lay right in between the kids just to hang out. We think older, more predictable kids who know how to be gentle would be ideal for her. Noella has not been raised with other dogs besides the one other dog in her home. She would do best as an only dog in her new home. Noella does not like cats. Noella knows a few commands and has great house manners. She is trustworthy in the home without a crate and has been for many years. Noella also loves to ride in the car and run around off leash--she would best be suited for a home with a fenced yard. If she does go for a walk, she walks well on leash. She loves to sunbathe and to play with squeaky toys too. Noella is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is also solidly housebroken. If she has to be left alone for extended periods of time, she will also use potty pads. Boston Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed

eet Cricket. She is a petite, adorable mixed breed girl. The result of a quick poll of dog lovers has left us guessing that she might be Boston terrier/cattle dog mix. Of course there is a strong likelihood that she has 3 or 4 or more different breeds in her mix. Cricket is about 2 years old and weighs about 25 pounds. This sweetie is a bit shy to warm up to new people, but does adjust pretty quickly if you give her a little space from the start. After you're 'in', you're 'in' for good. Cricket does pretty well meeting new canine friends--some she likes better than others. She even likes to play for short intervals. However, Cricket does ... (Read More)not want to share her home with another dog. She would do best as an only pet. And because Cricket likes to take things at her own pace, we recommend older children who can understand that may get nervous about some new things. Speaking of nerves, Cricket takes a daily dose of Prozac that costs about $20 per month. This has helped reduce her worries about things such as being left home alone or being asked to do things that make her feel uncomfortable. She has been working with a behaviorist for the last several months and is now doing really, really well. Cricket walks well on leash and knows a few commands. She is quite the snuggle buddy if you don't mind sharing your bed--we know Cricket would love to have a forever home that would allow her to curl up at someone's feet at night. She also enjoys balls, tug toys and bones. Cricket is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is also solidly housebroken and crate trained. Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Roux. This pretty girl will steal your heart. She is such a sweet, gentle, loving soul. Her only issue is that she has decided that living with other dogs stresses her out. For this reason, Roux is looking for a new forever home where she can take center stage and be loved as much as she deserves. Roux is a 4-year-old cattle dog mix. What is she mixed with? We don't really know. She was found with her litter mates as pups without either parent present. Roux weighs about 50 pounds and has longer legs than your typical cattle dog. Whatever the mix is, it has created a stunning beauty. Roux loves all humans, but hasn't really ever been ... (Read More)around children. Older children would be fine. Younger children *might* be fine too, but we aren't much for taking risks, so we will say the kids should be 7-ish years old or older. As we mentioned above, Roux does not want to live with other dogs. She can walk past them on leash without issue; she just doesn't want to share her space with other canines. We do not know how she is with cats. Roux is pretty medium energy. She does like to go for walks, but isn't much up for long car rides. Her favorite thing to do is to go running through the fenced in yard. Some days that's all of the exercise she needs. When she is in the house she is calm and loves to cuddle in your lap. Roux is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is also solidly housebroken. She has not been crated since she was a puppy and is trustworthy when unsupervised.
